Gardenia Almond Crusted Tuna Melt Sandwich

Grilled tuna and cheese sandwich crusted with roasted almonds

Ingredients

2 slices Gardenia California Raisin Loaf
1 can Canned tuna, drained
1 pc Celery stalk, minced
2 tbsp. Parsley
1/2 pc White onion, minced
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 cup Quick melt Cheese, grated
1 pc Egg
1/4 cup Sliced roasted almonds
1 tbsp. Butter

Salt, pepper and sugar to taste
Cooking oil for deep frying

Procedure

1.) In a bowl, combine together canned tuna, celery, onions, mayonnaise and season with salt, pepper, and sugar then mix well. Add cheese and mix.
2.) Get a slice of Gardenia California Raisin Bread and place 2 tbsp. of the tuna filling and add more cheese then cover with another slice of the bread .
3.) Dip the sandwich in beaten egg and press onto the roasted almond slivers.
4.) Melt butter in a pan, toast the sandwich on both sides.
5.) Serve warm and enjoy!
