Gardenia Squidball Croquette

Ingredients

8 slices Gardenia Classic White Bread
8 pcs Frozen squidballs, whole, thawed
2 cups Squidball, minced
250 ml Fresh milk
Oil for deep frying

Procedure

For the sauce, mix and boil water, soy sauce and vinegar.
Blanch the squidballs for 5 minutes, drain and set aside.
When the mixture starts to boil, mix about 2tsp of slurry (mixture of water and cornstarch). Cook the mixture until thick. Set aside.
Trim the sides of the bread then press it using your palm. Soak the flattened breads in milk.
Wrap the squidballs with soaked bread. Form a ball shape.
Roll the balls on minced squidballs, it will serve as the bread crumbs.
Deep fry until golden brown. Strain.
Plate and serve with the sauce on the side.
