Gardenia Supports Community Pantries

Gardenia donates thousands of bread products to community pantries across the country in support of the
initiative to provide food assistance to the marginalized sector amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The concept of a community pantry started in Maginhawa, Quezon City when an individual set-up a table
with various food items where people could donate and get food for free for themselves and their families.
This initiative was quickly picked up by numerous individuals and organizations in different parts of the
country.

Gardenia has donated more than 8,000 Gardenia products to community pantries in Luzon with efforts in
the National Capital Region and CALABARZON, as of this writing.

Gardenia continues to send bread as more community pantries are set-up by private groups and
individuals across the country.

Aside from the country’s support to the community pantry initiative, Gardenia has been donating loaves
and snack items to local government units, front liners, and other essential workers since the start of the
pandemic and the community quarantine across the country. This is part of Gardenia’s initiatives to reach
out and help more people to get through this health crisis.
